The Point Cook Flag, representing what we all are - Australian (the dark blue is the same colour as the Australian Flag), what we are all under and share common bonds with (the southern cross, here representing the community spirit that defines the Suburb), and what we are the custodians of - the birthplace of the RAAF (the light blue).
Our flag is a symbol for our local heritage (The RAAF, the history of the land, and our community spirit) a community that wants to set the example for the rest in terms of Actions and Solutions for its issues. It does not simply want to be a passenger or victim of the political express train. We hope that our communities will join in and take responsibility for the needs and wants with their own – the more the better, more power to the people.
Ask the questions –
1. How much are we contributing to government coffers at all levels?
2. how much is being invested back into our communities?
3. Who are the developers and who is their target market?
4. Who are the investors who are buying the proposed developments? FHO or Offshore Investors?
5. What kind of a community do you want to live in?
6. What kind of a future do you want for your children?
We value our place in Australia, love this great land of ours. But that does not mean we sit idle and let Government at any level be unaccountable. Representing the community is not an "at election time" issue.
